Who operates Racewise
Arnaud Melin, trading as Racewise, is a sole proprietor registered in Belgium under BCE/KBO number 0756.550.213. Arnaud handles privacy and support requests at info@racewise.run.
Your information and its purposes
Racewise connects fitness evidence and saved training context to an assistant you authorize. It processes account identity, email, timezone and preferences for account access and personalization; requested Garmin activities and available wellness measurements for fitness analysis; and goals, check-ins and context you ask it to save for continuity. Measurements such as sleep, heart rate and HRV can reveal health information. Some observations are cached; the current pilot does not continuously copy your Garmin archive.
Optional planning processes workout/event proposals, approvals and execution records. GPX uploads contain precise coordinates and are stored encrypted; assistants receive route summaries. Account/security records and limited usage metadata support access control and service operation.
Garmin access and uploads
Connecting Garmin and authorizing an assistant are separate steps. The current pilot uses an unofficial library. Garmin email, password and verification codes are used during connection; the reusable session is encrypted. Credentials are excluded from assistant responses and exports. Applying to Garmin's developer program does not mean official API access has been approved.
Reading evidence or saving context does not authorize Garmin changes. Where enabled, workouts and events require separate permissions and approval of the exact proposal. Approved content is sent to Garmin. An attached route sends coordinates to create a private course linked to the private event. Partial failures may leave an item in Garmin requiring review. Only upload content you are entitled to send. Garmin handles its copy under its Garmin Connect privacy notice.
AI processing and model training
Your authorized assistant receives selected evidence, route summaries and saved context requested through permitted tools. Its AI system uses this information to answer fitness questions and help prepare training suggestions and proposals. This can include health-related information. Review AI suggestions and proposed changes before acting.
Racewise does not use your information to train or fine-tune AI models. This applies to Racewise's own use. Assistant providers handle conversations and received information under their own policies and your account settings, including any model-training use. Racewise's commitment does not extend to those providers.
Revoke an assistant connection to stop future access. This does not erase information already included in assistant conversations. Check your provider's privacy policy and settings before authorizing sharing.
Providers and operational access
Racewise uses Google Cloud for backend/database/recovery infrastructure, Cloudflare for the website, Auth0 for account sign-in and Resend for email delivery. Support and invitation correspondence reaches the operator's mailbox. A Belgium backend region does not establish Belgium-only processing by every provider.
Invitation requests include your email and optional assistant/device preferences. Feedback includes your message and optional reply address. They are emailed through Resend and do not create an account or subscribe you to a newsletter. Do not include health measurements or credentials in feedback.
The restricted admin portal shows account identity, connection state, assistant grants, tool names, outcomes, timing and unresolved action counts. It does not show health measurements, tool arguments/results, credentials or conversation text.
Retention and deletion
Saved context and cached observations can remain while your account is active; cache freshness is not a deletion deadline. The application specifies 90 days for detailed usage, one year for admin access-change audits and up to 90 days after expiry/revocation for invitation metadata. Provider-held email/security records have separate retention arrangements.
Garmin disconnect removes its stored session and cached observations; saved context and assistant grants remain. Account deletion disables access immediately and removes active athlete data after a durable recovery record is stored. Failures remain pending for retry. Minimal deletion markers prevent restoration from backups, which expire separately. There is no universal promise that all recovery copies disappear within 30 days.
Racewise deletion does not erase your Garmin account, assistant conversations or records independently retained by identity/email/support providers.
Your controls and rights
Your account offers assistant revocation, Garmin disconnect, export of saved/currently cached information and deletion. The export is not a full Garmin archive and excludes credentials. Contact info@racewise.run to withdraw from the pilot or request access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability or objection where applicable. Identity may need verification before disclosure or access changes. Consent withdrawal does not affect lawful earlier processing.
You can complain to a competent authority, including Belgium's Data Protection Authority.
Website storage and updates
The public website is designed without advertising or tracking scripts. Backend account pages use sign-in/security cookies. Hosting providers can process technical request metadata. This notice will display its effective date and reflect changes.
